Chamber Programs: The Benefit to Big Spring

Leadership Big Spring is a program designed to prepare and orient potential community leaders while increasing leadership skills. The program also opens networking among business people in Big Spring.

Business After Hours is designed to encourage networking and to showcase sponsors. The sponsors open their business to the public to display what they have to offer. This program is geared to increase awareness of the importance of buying locally. Attendance of the past Business After Hour has ranged from 150-300 people. There is no charge to attend and non-members are encouraged to participate.

The Health Fair, held in April of each year, is an exhibition of all areas of the medical industry. Attendance has been around 2,000 in the past years.

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce hosts two annual community luncheons each year. The luncheons usually focus on a particular area of the business sector to display their talents while recognizing their contribution to the community.

The Ag Expo is an exhibition of the agricultural industry bringing surrounding farmers and ranchers together for networking opportunities. The Ag appreciation luncheon is held in conjunction with the Ag Expo and an Ag Producer of the Year is named.

The Annual Banquet is a community driven evening event to introduce the incoming officers of the Chamber to the community and present the goals for the upcoming year. During this event a Man and Woman of the year is named to honor outstanding citizens for their contributions and hard work they have given to the community.

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce is continuously working to offer expanded support and education that will benefit businesses and individuals.
