The Role of the Chamber of Commerce

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce is a co-op of businesses and individuals working together to advance the civic, economic, cultural and social betterment and interests of the people of Howard County.

The chamber works at maintaining awareness of key issues at the local, state, and federal level by coordinating with the Texas Chamber and U.S. Chamber.

We provide businesses with education through seminars and increase awareness of the importance of buying locally, and bring about awareness by hosting Business After Hours.

The Chamber hosts quarterly luncheons, the Ag Expo, and the Health Fair to provide programs, business information, and networking.

We offer support and awareness of all areas of art, including the Symphony and the Art Association.

And finally, though the Convention and Visitors' Bureau, we work to increase growth of tourism in Howard County and support local attractions and events.
